The Healing Power Of
Water
For many years water has been considered to
have almost magical qualities to cure all manner of
illnesses. Spas, Religious places with water that has been
blessed are two examples of “miracle water.”
Spas as these health spots were called attracted a
somewhat different clientele from the health spas we know
today. In the 1800’s and even into the early 1900’s Health
Spas were fashionable places to frequent to improve and
maintain your health. Here the rich and famous would drink
and bathe in the waters. The guests were treated to lavish
accommodations and paid premium prices to stay at the spars.
They were fashionable places to socialize, while partaking
of “the waters”. The water was considered to be not only
rejuvenating, but to actually cure different forms of
illnesses. People bathed and drank quantities of the
rejuvenating water from dainty cups. Doctors would prescribe
patients to “take the waters” for various ailments. The spas
were very popular in Europe and to some extent America among
the upper social class and the “fashionable crowd.” There
were many people who visited these Spas at least once if not
twice a year. Spas were featured in many novels about the
socially privileged
of the day.
Religious waters: In various parts of the world,
there are Religious waters. These waters are thought to have
miraculous healing powers. The faithful flock to these spots
in hope of being healed of various illnesses. These waters
are said to have been blessed by Saints and that is the
reason for the water’s miraculous powers. At these water
spots there are no fashionable accommodations or socializing
as in the Spas. Many people from all walks of life come to
these places to experience a miraculous cure, when drinking
the holy water. Many people gather around the water source
and the atmosphere is filled with a deep religious fervor.
Many stories are generated by people who claim to have been
cured by these waters. Scientists have long been baffled by
the reports of healing from these waters and have viewed
these tales of miraculous cures with skepticism. However
recent research has shown the waters are different. It has
been proven that there are different chemical properties
within the water that can and do cure some illnesses.
The healing and cleansing by water is a fascinating concept.
It shows us how important water is, to maintain and sustain
the fragile balance of our health. Just a few chemicals can
make the difference to the quality of our water. Today with
all the different chemicals entering our water systems it is
more important than ever to ensure that we are giving our
bodies the purest water.
Take care of the water you consume it can truly have far
reaching effects on your health and wellbeing.
